Exploring careers: the missing link

Environmental and non-traditional career
workshops for girls that provide mentoring staff and activities that help girls see their career options and make career decisions.

Mentor biography cards show women who
enjoy working in environmental careers and earn good salaries.

Sample Meadowscaping Careers:  Environmental Planner, Water Resources Specialist, Environmental Engineer, Landscape Designer, Soil Scientist, Agricultural Educator, and more. Plus healthcare careers: Physical Therapist, Medical Assistant, etc., and trades: Carpenter, Locksmith, Telecommunications, and more.

Girls from the Belmont METCO Program.
The missing link is the mentoring professional and the connection that the girls feel when they meet the professional woman through her mentor biography card. Each woman relates her personal story and ties in how she chose her profession and what she does to fulfill her responsibilities.
